Community Development for Disabled People
Develop creative projects to benefit Disabled people including forming new partnerships with community organisations to make their services more inclusive. Improve access to services from the viewpoint of Disabled people.
Who is the service for?
Disabled People (young people and adults) from all impairment groups and people with a long term health condition.
What does the service do?
Manages DASL Enquiry Line and any volunteers working on it. Supports Lambeth Disability Hate Crime Partnership – administration, publicity, liaison with member organisations, event organisation. Develops a network of Disability/mental health and general community organisations and individuals. Supports the voice of Disabled people in consultations and campaigns, including capacity building for Lambeth Pan-Disability Forum. Works with community groups and service providers to create more inclusive social, leisure and cultural opportunities for Disabled people.
